The Purple Rose of Cairo was an interesting film. It is written and directed by Woody Allen. I personally do not recall ever seeing a Woody Allen film before. I have always heard that his films were good but he was a crazy guy. To be honest I think that if you are going to come up with a creative and best selling movie, you have to be a little crazy. So any way back to the movie. This was a very interesting film. There were many different worlds going on at once. Not to really ruin much, but it is a strange concept that makes no sense in the real world, but makes you think about life. SPOILER: When the actor comes out of the screen it makes you wonder about your world and if you can actually escape your world. To me this is not one of the best movies that I have ever seen, but it was good enough for me to see and think about and analyse my life. This film will make you think and want to look deeper. I think that this film is worth seeing at one point in your life, but it does not necessarily have to be soon in your life. For me it was made better because it was the first Woody Allen movie that i have ever seen, so it makes me want to see more of his movies and appreciate him more.
